Everton right-back Jonjoe Kenny has revealed that he wants to continue starting matches for the club, as reported on the official club website.
The youngster was handed a start by manager Marco Silva on Tuesday against Leicester City at Goodison Park and was one of the Toffees’ best players on the pitch in the 1-0 loss.

Kenny had the most touches of the ball than anyone else on the pitch and almost found the back of the net, only for his effort to bounce off the woodwork.
This was Kenny’s first senior appearance in almost three months and he’s had to be patient. He said:
I’ve just got to keep myself focused and keep fit because you never know when you may get a chance, and you have to perform. I’m happy to be back, to get a game and hopefully I can keep on playing well and stay in the team.
I’ve played a good few times for Everton now. I’ve just got to keep calm and enjoy the experience. I’ve played in big games and when I get my chance I just want to do what I can do best and try to perform.
I want to be creating chances. And, I think the way the gaffer wants us to play, it’s helping me out to go and do that. But defensively, that’s what I’m here for. To stop crosses, get out to people and make tackles. That’s what I want to do.
The 21-year-old has made 33 senior appearances for Everton and he is hoping that he can continue to play for the club for the foreseeable future.
