Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye has hailed new midfield partner Andre Gomes as “special”, according to a report on the Liverpool Echo.
The midfielder is on loan from Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona and has made a good start to life at the Merseyside club.
The Everton faithful have been impressed with what they’ve seen from Gomes so far this season and are hoping that he can continue his good form in midfield.
However, it’s not just the fans who are impressed with the Portuguese international. Gueye said:
Andre Gomes brings something special, with his technique and the way he keeps the ball.
Of course, we knew he was a good player, he came from Barcelona – and you know the types of players who go to Barcelona.
We try to work together to help the team defensively and offensively – and it is going well. He is helping us a lot so, hopefully, he will continue his form and carry on helping the team.
Majority of the Everton fans are hoping that the classy midfielder will sign permanently for the Toffees after his loan spell is over.
