Everton have been dealt a huge injury blow following the news that Idrissa Gana Gueye is a doubt to face Manchester City.
Paul Joyce of The Times reports that Marco Silva has cast doubts over the midfielder’s availability for the game.
Gueye’s absence will be a huge dent in Everton’s chances going into the match, with the midfielder a key figure in Silva’s side.

The two sides meet during the early kick-off at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon, with City looking to get back to winning ways following their surprise defeat to Chelsea last weekend.
The result meant that City dropped down to second, with Everton’s Merseyside rivals Liverpool taking the top spot in the Premier League for now.
Meanwhile, Everton will be fully aware that they can move into the top six with a win away from home.
While beating the Premier League champions on their own stomping ground is as difficult as it comes, it could move Everton a point ahead of Manchester United.
