Howard will go down as one of the all-time great Premier League goalkeepers.
He may not have been the biggest name of them all, but to enjoy a Premier League career that spans over 13 years tells you all you need to know about the quality of the player.
With over 400 Everton appearances under his belt, he also goes down as one of the club’s modern-day Premier League legends.
Ever-present in the Toffees side, he was one of the few shot-stoppers to score a Premier League goal.
Everton fans will look back on Howard’s career with fond memories and he should too, as he enjoys the next stage of his life.
