By the scoreline most would assume this was a boring match. The Merseyside Derby had a lot of build-up going into it. Could Everton stop Liverpool from gaining a valuable three points? Could the Toffees derail their title bid?
From the start, Goodison Park was rocking. The players felt it. From the opening whistle, tackles were flying in and frantic passes were sprayed around the pitch. Once things started to settle a bit, Everton kept their cool.
There were moments throughout this match that gave both set fans excitement and nervousness. It could also be said that it was the tale of two halves. Liverpool were in control during the first half of the match, but Everton looked the most comfortable side in the second.
