Everton came within seconds of securing a win at Old Trafford on Tuesday night but an injury time penalty from Manchester United’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic meant that the Blues had to settle for a point.
Phil Jagielka had given Everton a first-half lead with a neat finish and it looked like that was going to be enough to secure all three points but deep into injury time, Ashley Williams handled Luke Shaw’s strike and gave away a penalty and things were made worse as he was sent off in the process.
Ibrahimovic slotted the spot-kick past Joel Robles with virtually the last kick of the game, taking two points away from Ronald Koeman’s men.
