Serie A side Fiorentina have submitted a bid for Napoli striker Manolo Giaccherini and are attempting to hijack Everton’s move for the Italy international, according to Calcio Mercato.
Everton, having missed out on Arsenal-bound Lucas Perez, had set their sights on out-of-favour Gabbiadini, who is considering his long-term future at the club after failing to impress new boss Maurizio Sarri.

The 24-year-old rose to prominence in the 2014/15 season, where he earned a place in the Italy squad by netting nine times in 15 outings for Sampdoria. That form also caught the eye of then-Napoli manager Rafael Benitez, who signed him to replace the injured on-loan Michu.
Since Benitez has left the club, Gabbiadini has struggled to cement a first-team place. The Italian thought that he would finally get his chance when Gonzalo Higuain joined Juventus in a £75m deal, but Sarri opted to sign Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik, who starred for his country at the Euros.
