Everton’s majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri wants Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone to be the club’s next manager, according to a report from Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solheko.
Twitter: Owner Farhad Moshiri wants Diego Simeone to be Everton manager. Other more realistic targets: Allardyce & Marco Silva or give it to Unsworth (@SkyKaveh)
However, it seems very unlikely that the Blues would have the pull to lure Simeone away from Atleti and as such, Sam Allardyce and Watford’s Marco Silva are seen as much more realistic targets.
The Blues have been searching for a new boss since sacking Ronald Koeman last month but they’ve yet to make any significant progress.

Sean Dyche, Thomas Tuchel, Allardyce, Silva and many more names have been linked with filling the vacant seat in the Goodison Park dugout but as it stands, it’s still unlear as to who’ll be taking over from Koeman.
Whilst it’ll be great for Evertonians to see Moshiri’s ambition by wanting Simeone, they’ll know that whoever takes over will probably be of a lower profile than the charismatic Argentinian.
