Everton were among the teams to miss out on a deal to sign Issa Diop this summer, with Arsenal and Tottenham also keen.
According to the Daily Mail, the likes of Manchester United and Barcelona were among those keeping tabs on the former Toulouse man.
Diop joined for £22 million in the summer and has been a revelation at the back for the Hammers, catching the eye of many with some dominant performances.

The young centre-back was especially impressive as he kept Romelu Lukaku quiet in West Ham’s comprehensive 3-1 win against Manchester United on Saturday.
Diop’s display prompted praise from Jose Mourinho, who could well have been managing the defender if United had pursued their apparent interest during the summer.
Congratulations to the scout who found the 21-year-old kid, Diop, a monster who dominated everything in the duels.
The defence was a key area that Marco Silva needed to strengthen over the summer, but he opted to sign Yerry Mina from Barcelona, while Kurt Zouma also arrived on loan from Chelsea.
