Everton are eyeing up a move for Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger, according to the Daily Star.
The report says that Everton are weighing up whether or not to take the German midfielder on loan at Goodison Park until the end of the season.
Schweinsteiger is currently out of favour at United, with Jose Mourinho opting for Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba in midfield this season. Morgan Schneiderlin and Michael Carrick are also ahead of him in the pecking order.

This, and injury, means that his future at United looks almost non-existent – with Everton looking to take advantage of this.
Ronald Koeman wants to add some quality to his midfield and is considering a move for the ex-Bayern midfielder to bolster his options during the second half of the Premier League season.
The move is, however, dependent on United subsidising his wages for the loan deal. He currently earns £200k-per-week, which Everton are not prepared to match.
