After Saturday’s prediction that Newcastle would beat the Blues, will Football Manager 2016 predict the right score when Stoke City visit Goodison Park tomorrow?
In the simulation we are running alongside the season, the popular football game had predicted that Newcastle would beat Everton 2-0 while in reality the Blues snatched victory in the last seconds of the match to secure a valuable win.
Moving onto Stoke now, fortunately for Everton this time, it is predicted they will run riot in a game which sees the Merseysider’s win 3-1 with all four goals scored within the first 30 minutes.

Goals from Steven Naismith and Gerard Deulofeu came before 10 minutes while a goal from Angel Correa in the 24th minute all but sealed the game for the Blues, before Marco Van Ginkel clawed one back on the 30-minute mark. The rest of the game remained goalless and Everton came out deserved winners with 17 shots and 7 of them on target to Stoke’s mere 7 shots and 3 on target.

The Blues now sit in 8th place but are 10 points off 5th place Arsenal, so European competition could prove a tough task with the way the season is panning out, but maybe Everton can pull out a miracle in the coming weeks. Without Capital One Cup commitments, we could see just how much cup competitions effect performance.

In reality, Everton are only 6 points off 4th placed Tottenham Hotspur and after the win against Newcastle, the Blues will be looking to hit a good spell of performances that could see them shoot up the table going into the next year. Momentum all rests on the result of tomorrow’s match against Stoke, who are in good spirits after their impressive win over Manchester United.
