Another disappointing result for the Blues as the Foxes top the table at Christmas.
Riyad Mahrez opened the scoring, Everton conceded a penalty after a silly foul from Funes Mori and the Algerian put the ball emphatically beyond the sprawling Tim Howard who had guessed the right way.
Everton equalised not long after, Ross Barkley had two shots blocked on the line before Romelu Lukaku made it 8 consecutive games of scoring.
The Blues were not able to find another breakthrough and after Jamie Vardy ran through on goal he knocked it past Tim Howard, who brought the Englishman down. Mahrez stepped up to convert his second penalty of the game, this time sending Tim the wrong way.
Shinji Okazaki doubled Leicester’s lead after some more stupid play from Everton, while Kevin Mirallas halved the deficit in stoppage time.
Everton now only have one win in their last six games, with four of those results being draws and the loss against Leicester now their first in six. The Merseysiders now reside in 10th, 6 points off 4th placed Tottenham.
