It’s certainly been a while.
We ran out winners over Crystal Palace in a tremendously scrappy game, but one that we had to win, and win we did.
Forget Schlupp’s attempt at cheating, we scored and won the game. That’s all that matters.
Onto Stoke now, and to get something out of the way, I hate having games on Deadline Day almost as much as I hate the tag given to the 31st January. It disrupts all rhythm in the closing stages of the window and effectively makes it impossible to focus on transfers the days previous.
But have a game we do. And we’re at the Brittania on a Wednesday night. Likely to be windy. And wet. And cold. Dead horse? Alright.
We’ll probably stick to a similar system that has brought much success this month, with a similar team.
I’m here to tell you the team I’d throw out, though, so who knows?
