Everton are reportedly one of three Premier League clubs to have expressed an interest in young German midfielder Max Meyer.
According to a report from the Mirror, the 22-year-old is the subject of heavy interest from top flight clubs in England and Everton are keen to add him to their squad when the summer transfer window rolls around.
It’s looking likely that Meyer will be on his way out of Schalke when the 2016/17 campaign comes to its close, and the next destination for him is set to be in the Premier League, putting the Toffees on red alert.

However, if they are to make their move for Meyer, they will need to act fast. The report claims that both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign the German international in the summer.
It’s also claimed that Meyer would be available for a fee of around the £17 million mark, which is certainly affordable for Everton.
