Virals: Everton and Tottenham’s battle for European football depicted perfectly by Toffees fan

Tonight sees Carlo Ancelotti’s men return to Premier League action with a trip down south to face Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Toffees will be hoping to return to winning ways after a frustrating 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace last week.

Yesterday’s results in the league gave the club plenty of confidence going into the game, with Tottenham losing out to Manchester United.

Spurs and Everton are likely to battle it out for spot for European football next season with the two sat in seventh and eighth in the league.

This battle for Europe was perfectly depicted by the Everton fan page The Toffee Blues, who tweeted this hilarious video…

It does seem to be a real back and forth between Everton and Spurs at the moment, with both clubs slipping up at times.

Tottenham’s defeat to United yesterday gives the Toffees a real chance of leaping above Jose Mourinho’s side.

A win tonight would also see Ancelotti’s men just two points off of city rivals Liverpool who are fighting for Champions League.

That could really change the dynamics of Everton’s aims for the season if they manage to keep up with the pace of the rest of the pack.

The first call of action, however, is all three points against Brighton tonight.
