Everton have been told that they will need to pay a club-record fee to sign Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
Reports from Mundo Deportivo claim that Lyon could sell the midfielder to Everton if they meet the €70 million asking price.
Everton’s record transfer fee currently stands at £45 million, which they spent to bring Gylfi Sigurdsson to the club from Swansea.
Ndombele is attracting a wealth of interest after his performances in Ligue 1 and the Champions League this season.
Barcelona, Manchester City and Chelsea have all been linked with deals to sign the Frenchman.

Everton scouts have been keeping a close eye on Ndombele, but will face stiff competition in their bid to sign the player.
The report claims that should Toffees be unwilling to fork out that amount of money, they could pursue a permanent bid for Barcelona’s Andre Gomes.
The Portuguese midfielder is on loan at Goodison Park and has impressed this season, but the club do not have an official option to buy as part of the deal.
