Everton to make €35m Malcom offer – but is it a good move?

Everton are reportedly set to make a €35 million offer for Barcelona winger Malcom – but is that the right move for all involved?

According to RMC reporter Mohamed Bouhafsi, the Toffees are preparing a move for the Brazilian who has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League with Arsenal and Tottenham.

The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Goodison Park before, however, the youngster ended up making the move from Bordeaux to Barcelona last summer.

It seems as if the player is a top target for Toffees boss Marco Silva this summer, with the club preparing a lucrative offer to the Catalan giants, who are willing to let the creative wide man leave the Nou Camp.

A move to Goodison Park for Malcom would be a risk. The Brazilian has no previous Premier League experience and has struggled with his consistency in recent years.

However, there’s no doubting, that, on his day, the 22-year-old has all the abilities needed to succeed in England.

The player is quick, skilful and has an end product, however, at €35 million, a move for Malcom could be one that backfires on the Toffees.

On the other hand, a move could prove to be an excellent piece of business, it just depends on whether or not Silva can get regular consistent performances out of the wide man in one of the toughest leagues in the world.
