Everton will complete the signing of Marvin Plattenhardt from Hertha Berlin following the conclusion of the World Cup, according to the Daily Star.
The Toffees’ interest was reported earlier on in the week and it seems they will push a deal through when the tournament finishes midway through next month.
It’s claimed in the report that the transfer in the offing is set to be worth in the region of £16 million, as Marco Silva looks to add further defensive quality to the ranks at Everton.

Plattenhardt is currently on international duty with Germany after being included in Joachim Low’s 23-man squad for the tournament.
The left-back started in Germany’s first game in the group stages this afternoon but could not contribute positively as Mexico were able to clinch a shock 1-0 win. Reported Everton target Hirving Lozano scored the decisive goal on the day.
Plattenhardt is believed to be keen on the switch to Goodison Park this summer, but it seems Everton will be forced to play the waiting game.
