After a strong start to the Premier League season, Everton star Theo Walcott is setting his sights on a recall to the England national squad, as per a report from the Mirror.
The experienced winger has enjoyed an involved role in Marco Silva’s starting line-up following his arrival at Goodison Park, finding the net on two occasions in only three games.
Walcott impressed in Everton’s recent 2-2 draw against Bournemouth and following the clash, discussed the prospect of being reintegrated into the England squad under Gareth Southgate.
My ambition is to play well for this club, and for this club to achieve what I believed they can when I joined it. And then, if I play well, who knows?

But yes, that’s obviously that’s one big time for me to get back into the England squad. I haven’t been in there for a couple of years and hopefully, I get back in. You always want to play for your country.
The 30-year-old has not featured for England since November 2016 and appears to be keen to re-establish himself as a viable attacking option for Southgate in the near future.
Walcott will be desperate to continue in a similar vein of form for Everton as they look to build on their impressive start to the new Premier League campaign, having gone three games without a defeat.
I’ve got 47 caps and I want that to be a lot more. I’ve just got to keep it up and see where it takes me.
