Everton have completed the signing of Swiss attacker Shani Tarashaj.
The 20-year-old has put pen to paper on a long-term deal after the Blues agreed a £3.5million fee with Grasshopper Zurich.
Tarashaj, who plays as a second striker, has scored 8 goals in 18 appearances for Zurich this season and will spend the rest of the campaign with the Swiss outfit.
The Switzerland U-21 international is highly regarded and is seen as one of his countries finest attacking talents, and he will join a club packed full with burgeoning young talent in the summer.
Tarashaj was met with Everton officials on Monday to thrash out a deal and is Roberto Martinez’s second signing of the transfer window, after Matty Foulds joined from Bury for around £225,000.
It remains to be seen whether Everton do any more business in January, there is concrete interest in Leeds United’s Sam Byram, while Steven Naismith is set to leave the club.
