Everton look set to beat Arsenal and Manchester City in the race for Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, the Daily Express reports.
Pickford has been one of Sunderland’s stars in a poor season for the Black Cats, and has earned himself a nomination for the PFA Young Player of the Year. Sunderland are expected to demand at least £15m for the Englishman.

The Toffees will have stern competition for the 23-year-old, with Arsene Wenger having him scouted recently. Everton’s ploy to defeat other potential suitors is reportedly to offer Pickford a £90k per week pay packet.
Pickford has made 29 appearances for Sunderland after taking the number one spot from Vito Mannone early in the season. However, he has been unable to prevent Sunderland’s poor season, and they currently sit bottom of the Premier League, 12 points off safety.
Their fight for survival will continue on Wednesday night, when they face fellow relegation-scrappers Middlesbrough away from home.
