Everton appear to be closing in on the signing of Feyenoord striker Joshua Zirkzee, who has been chased by Arsenal in recent times.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, the Toffees have stolen a march on their Premier League counterparts and are in pole position to secure the services of the promising striker this summer.
Zirkzee has developed a reputation back in his homeland of the Netherlands in recent times for some glittering displays at youth level, and has evidently caught the eye of many English clubs.

Ronald Koeman’s reputation of developing young players, along with his ties with Feyenoord, is sure to have been a big pull for the young striker.
The report claims that Zirkzee was in Merseyside yesterday with his representatives as a move to Everton was discussed and judging by the Daily Mail’s expectancy that a transfer will go through, the discussions look to have been positive.
Zirkzee is likely to slot into Everton’s U19 side, having already featured for them in the Generali Cup in their match against FC Academy Pandev.
