Everton have been offered renewed hope in their pursuit of Queens Park Rangers teenager Josh Bowler, according to Sky Sports.
The Toffees had reportedly offered an initial £1.5million rising to £3million for the young winger earlier this month, which was promptly shot down by QPR, who hope to keep Bowler in west London.
However, Sky Sports have reported that the 18-year old has rejected a new deal with the club this morning, and now looks increasingly likely to make the move north to Goodison Park.
Bowler only signed professional terms with Rangers in February, before making his first-team debut on the final day of the Championship season against Norwich.
Bowler joined the Hoops in 2013 having been released by Fulham, and with his contract set to expire at the end of next season, QPR could be forced into making a sale now to maximise their profits.
The right-sided wideman will have undoubtedly been impressed with Ronald Koeman’s impressive record of bringing through young players from lower divisions, after giving Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Ademola Lookman and Mason Holgate significant game time last season.
