Despite spending more money in the summer than the club had ever spent before, Everton find themselves in the relegation zone after nine games, whilst they are also bottom of their Europa League group.
Koeman’s first year in charge of Everton was a relative success with the Blues finishing in seventh place, qualifying for the Europa League.
However, despite brining in big money buys like Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane and Gylfi Sigurdsson in the summer, the Blues have managed just two league wins and with the fans starting to get on Koeman’s back, the board have taken the decision to sack him.
New majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri has pumped a lot of money into the club in recent years and he and the board have taken the decision to sack the Dutchman and they will now begin their search for a new manager.
