Everton appear to have joined Newcastle in the race to sign Galatasaray winger Garry Rodrigues.
Relegation-threatened Newcastle made a move for the Cape Verde international in the January transfer window but saw their efforts rebuffed. It’s thought, though, that the Magpies will return for Rodrigues in the summer.
However, if they do press ahead with their plans to recruit the Dutch-born wide man, they may well face competition from Everton. It’s claimed by Turkish news outlet Fotomac that the Toffees have been receiving regular checks on Rodrigues from their scouts.

According to Fotomac, Everton boss Sam Allardyce has been receiving frequent reports on Rodrigues’ progress at Galatasaray ahead of a potential summer move.
The Toffees significantly strengthened their attack in January through the additions of Cenk Tosun and Theo Walcott but it seems they are not yet finished, with Rodrigues on their radar.
Former PAOK winger Rodrigues has netted five times in the Super Lig this season, whilst also contributing with eight assists. Reports indicate that he could be available for a fee in excess of €15 million in the summer.
