Everton join Liverpool and a host of other Premier League clubs in tracking Wigan Athletic starlet Joe Gelhardt.
The 17-year old striker is consider to be one of the brightest young talents in the Championship, and he is set to represent England Under-18s this week.
The forward impressed for Wigan in the FA Youth Cup last season, while he also made his first team debut in the EFL Cup last season at the age of 16. Gelhardt has appeared for Paul Cook’s team this season too, making an appearance off the bench in last Saturday’s home draw with Barnsley,

Gelhardt’s contract with Wigan doesn’t expire until 2021, but growing interest in his ability could push a Premier League club to test the Latics’ resolve over Gelhardt’s future.
As reported by Goal, Everton join all of Liverpool, Chelsea, Wolves and Leicester in having watched the young forward, with the Toffees having made repeated checks on his progress.
