Everton remain keen on a deal for Portugal international Joao Mario this summer, according to reports from Italy.
Earlier on in the transfer window, the Toffees were listed as one of several teams who were weighing up a potential swoop for the midfielder, who is keen to leave Inter Milan.
However, speculation had cooled over any pursuit from Everton for Mario, as the midfielder continued to weigh up his future.

Nevertheless, the links have flared up once again and according to a report from Calciomercato, Everton and La Liga outfit Real Betis would like to sign the former West Ham loanee.
It’s claimed in the report that Mario will not be returning to first-team training with Inter Milan following the end of his extended holidays after his World Cup involvement, with a move away on the cards.
Mario spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham and showed glimpses of quality for David Moyes’ side.
