Everton appear to have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of Shakhtar Donetsk manager Paulo Fonseca this summer.
Farhad Moshiri is understood to be keen on delivering a long-term project at Goodison Park and Allardyce is seemingly not in the picture for this, with the likes of Fonseca and Marco Silva having recently been linked with moves to Merseyside.
The Toffees have been heavily linked with a swoop for Fonseca, too. It was believed that Everton made a move for the manager earlier on in the season, only for Shakhtar to block the Premier League club’s advances.

However, according to a report from Portuguese news outlet O Jogo, Fonseca’s deal at Shakhtar expires in the summer and he is unwilling to extend his stay in Ukraine.
It’s stated that Shakhtar tabled a new and improved two-year extension for their promising manager, but he has since turned down the proposal.
The report indicates that Fonseca would like to make the step up to the Premier League as his next move, which is sure to come as a boost to Everton’s hierarchy ahead of the summer.
