Everton are looking to sign Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko and are willing to meet the £35million asking price set by the North East club, according to a report from Andy Hunter of The Guardian.
However, Everton’s pursuit of the Frenchman will not be straightforward as Serie A giants Juventus have also identified him as a target to replace his international teammate Paul Pogba who looks set to join Manchester United in a £100million move.
Farhad Moshiri, Everton’s new major shareholder, is set to bankroll some huge signings this summer as he looks to get the club competing at the top of the table and he could start by sanctioning a move for Sissoko.

The £28million paid to Chelsea for striker Romelu Lukaku in 2014 remains Everton’s record transfer, but they’ll be hoping to break that this summer.
If Sissoko does have a straight choice between Juventus and Everton, the Italians might have the advantage as they can offer Champions League football so Everton might have to offer him a higher salary in order to get him to Goodison Park.
