Cardiff City have quoted Everton £10m for goalkeeper David Marshall, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Toffees have been linked with the Scotland international for a couple of seasons, with current first-choice shotstopper Tim Howard’s future at Goodison Park in doubt.
The 36-year-old has been under fire in recent months after making several errors which have led to Roberto Martinez’s side dropping points.
Because of this, the Spanish coach has decided to target a replacement, with Marshall said to be his preferred option.
The Bluebirds are reportedly willing to sell, but for no less than their £10m asking price.
West Bromwich Albion also attempted to sign the 30-year-old in the summer but failed to agree a fee before the window came to a close.
Marshall has made 258 appearances for the Welsh side since arriving for £500,000 from Norwich City in 2009 and was named as a substitute in the Premier League’s Team of the Season in 2013/14.
