Everton are interested in a deal to sign highly-rated young Wigan Athletic striker Callum Lang this summer.
ESPN claims that the Toffees are tracking the young striker who has impressed while on loan at Morecambe in League Two.
In 30 League Two appearances, Lang netted 10 times for Morecambe, alerting the Premier League side.
Lang has made just three first-team appearances for Wigan, who will be playing Championship football next season following their promotion from the third tier.
The young forward was the second-highest scoring teenager in England this season, with only Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon in front of him.
Everton have become known for scouting the lower leagues to pick up the best young talents and Lang could become the next to join the club.
The Toffees will be looking to shake up their squad after a frustrating season in the Premier League but a deal to sign Lang may well be one that sees the club cast one eye to the future.
