Everton will open contract talks with Romelu Lukaku this week in an attempt to keep the Belgian on Merseyside, according to Paul Joyce.
The forward has been linked with a move back to former club Chelsea with Antonio Conte making the Belgian his number one target as he looks to take the club back to the top of the table after a poor season last year.

The Toffees are said to be angered by Chelsea’s public pursuit of Romelu, now unwilling to even speak to the Londoners over a potential deal and have stated that any interest in their star striker would be unwelcome.
Wilfred Bony was one named liked with a move to the Blues as a replacement for Lukaku, and could even have been included in a deal with Manchester City bound John Stones. According to Joyce, Everton have no interest in Bony and see Lukaku as one of the best young strikers in the world and are determined to keep him on Merseyside.
