Everton and West Ham have been offered the chance to sign Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic for £30million, according to the Daily Mail.
The Toffees are in the market for a midfielder, with names such as Axel Witsel, Morgan Schneiderlin and Kevin Strootman all being considered for Ronald Koeman’s new look Everton side.

The 22-year-old Croatian international was linked to Merseyside rivals Liverpool before Real Madrid signed him in August of last year. Since then, the box to box midfielder has struggled to get minutes, leaving him frustrated at his lack of chances to impress.
Real Madrid are said to be open to loaning the player out, but a bid of £30million is said to tempt the club into selling the player. With the recent cash injection from Farhad Moshiri, Everton would have no problems in affording Kovacic with all of the names previously mentioned thought to cost around a similar price.
