Everton have rejoined the race to sign Steve Mandanda, according to RMC Sport.
The Toffees were originally interested in signing the French international, but interest cooled off during the European Championships. Crystal Palace reportedly had an offer accepted for Mandanda in the week, which has forced Everton into action.
A meeting between the club and Mandanda’s representatives is due to take place on Wednesday, with the Blues hoping to seal their first transfer under the reign of Ronald Koeman.

The shot-stopper will then have to decide between the Londoners and Everton, with both clubs looking to make significant statements of intent this summer. Palace recently had a €38million bid accepted for Michy Batshuayi while the Toffees hope to sign Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United in this window.
Should Everton sign Mandanda, he would replace Tim Howard who will join the Colorado Rapid’s on July 1st. Maarten Stekelenburg has also been mentioned by the media in the past few days, though it is thought that the Dutchman would be brought in as back-up.
