According to a report by the Liverpool Echo, Everton have made CSKA Moscow’s Alan Dzagoev a January transfer target.
Everton’s Director of Football Steve Walsh watched the Russian international as he faced Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League on Wednesday, following on from talks with the midfielder’s representatives.

He scored as his side were beaten 3-1 and Everton are lining up a move ahead of a January window which looks set to be busier than last years.
Dzagoev has emerged as a feasible option to add a creative spark to an Everton side which Ronald Koeman believes he needs, but The Toffees can expect competition from West Ham for his signature.
And Dzagoev, who has spent his whole career in Russia, spoke this week of his desire to play in the Premier League.
When asked, Dzagoev described when he knew of interst from Tottenham in 2012, he said:
“I was ready to play in England, ready to move. But CSKA didn’t receive a firm offer.”
“I like the English Premier League. So to play for a serious English club would be great for me. I don’t remember interest from other English clubs.”
The 26-year-old has so far impressed in the Champions League this term, scoring in two of three games. He’s also provided three assists in the Premier Liga so far.
