Everton have once again been linked with a move for Watford forward Richarlison, with the Watford Observer claiming Marcel Brands is an admirer of the Brazilian.
The 21-year old joined the Hornets from Fluminese last summer, when current Everton boss Marco Silva was manager at Vicarage Road, and the forward enjoyed his most successful period under the Portuguese coach.
Richarlison subsequently fell out of favour slightly once Javi Gracia was brought in, although he still managed 41 appearances in all competitions for the club last season.
While speculation in the past few months has linked Everton with a move for Richarlison, links are once again being made, which now claim new Director of Football Brands is a keen fan of the player.

Brands is said to have been a fan even before Watford’s No.11 made the switch to Hertfordshire. Combined with Silva’s admiration of the player, it seems that it would make perfect sense for Everton to make their move.
However, the turbulent relationship between Watford and Everton could render this deal dead in the water. Reports previously suggested that while Watford would demand £40million for Richarlison, they wouldn’t except any price that came from the Toffees, even if it matched their valuation.
However, it remains to be seen whether Everton will make a move once their illegal approach dispute has ceased, whether Watford will indeed decline it, or whether Everton are even interested in the first place.
