Everton are keen to wrap up a €40 million deal to sign Bruno Fernandes from Sporting in January.
According to A Bola, Everton will be rivalled by Liverpool in any potential move to sign the midfielder during the January window.
Fernandes has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and after impressing during the first half of the season, the midfield maestro is once again in demand.
Any deal to sign the player will not be cheap. Fernandes is under contract with Sporting until 2023 and boasts a release clause worth €100 million.

However, the report claims that a deal could be agreed for a fee in the region of €40 million.
Fernandes was expected to leave Sporting over the summer amid the internal crisis that broke out at the club, but the midfielder remained in Portugal for the current season.
In 14 league appearances this season, Fernandes has scored six goals and registered five assists.
