Everton will be looking for midfield enforcements in the summer and have been tracking Sampdoria star Karol Linetty this season, according to talkSPORT.
Ronald Koeman allowed Darren Gibson to leave the club during the January transfer window and sent Tom Cleverley on loan to Watford in a deal which includes a purchasing option, which would leave Koeman light in midfield going into next season.
Linetty made his name in Poland with Lech Poznan scoring 11 goals and recording 12 assists in 112 appearances for the club before making a £2.7m move to Sampdoria in 2016.
The 22-year-old has impressed in Serie A this season as has attracted the interest of both Everton and Tottenham, but having signed a five-year contract upon his arrival in Italy, it’s unlikely he’ll be sold on the cheap.
Capped 13 times by Poland, Linetty was part of the Euro 2016 squad that made the quarter-finals but he failed to make an appearance at last summer’s competition.
