Everton are leading the way to sign Islam Slimani, according to a translation from the newspaper Correio da Manhã by Sport Witness.
The striker has been heavily linked with a move away from Leicester this summer, after a short and unsuccessful career at the King Power Stadium has seen a return of just eight goals for the Foxes.

A loan move saw the Algerian make four appearances for Newcastle at the business end of the 2017-18 season, but the spell was something of a forgettable stay.
The target man joined Leicester from Sporting prior to the 2016-17 season, where 48 goals in 82 appearances had made Slimani something of a household name in Portugal.
The 30-year-old has received 58 caps for the Algerian national team, scoring 27 goals in those appearances.
Sporting are attempting to re-sign Slimani at present, but are struggling to meet Leicester’s asking price, instead preferring to take the front-man on loan.
As such, Everton’s purchasing power in the struggle for Slimani puts them firmly in pole position should they wish to bring the goal-scorer to Goodison Park.
