With the recent additions of Ademola Lookman from Charlton and Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Sheffield United, it’s clear that Everton are keeping an eye on the most promising talents in England’s lower tiers.
One player they are reportedly tracking is Huddersfield Town forward Elias Kachunga, but they face competition from fellow Premier League outfits Watford and Middlesbrough for his summer signature according to the Mirror.
The 24-year-old joined Huddersfield on a season-long loan from Bundesliga side Ingolstadt to work under fellow German David Wagner at the Kirklees Stadium and he’s enjoyed a great season, scoring 10 goals in 31 appearances so far.
The Terriers have an option to make Kachunga’s move permanent in the summer with a £1.5m option built into the loan contract and a three-year deal already agreed with the striker.
However, if Everton or any other Premier League side are ready to firm up their interest that could prompt Huddersfield and Kachunga to reassess the situation.
