Chelsea’s Fikayo Tomori and Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina have emerged as two transfer targets for Everton – would they be two sensible signings?

Twitter: Everton are interested in signing Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori and Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina, Sky Sports News understands (@SkySportsNews)
Starting with Tomori. The Chelsea youngster impressed with Derby County last season and is regarded as a future star by many at Stamford Bridge.
However, the 21-year-old defender may find it hard to nail down a regular starting spot under Frank Lampard this season.
David Luiz, Kurt Zouma, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen are all thought to be above Tomori in the pecking order, so a move to Merseyside could be of interest to the youngster.

The England Under 21 international has all the qualities needed to succeed at the top level. He is quick, strong, good in the air and intelligent and could well be the answer to Marco Silva’s problems at the back.
Meanwhile, a move for Southampton’s Lemina could also be a shrewd piece of business.
The Gabon international looks set to leave St Mary’s ahead of the new season and has two years of Premier League experience under his belt.
The Saints could well be open to selling the player for a fee in the region of £20 million, however, the Toffees will have to battle numerous Premer League and European sides for his services.

Lemina could prove to be a perfect replacement for Idrissa Gueye, who looks set to complete a £28 million move to Paris Saint-Germain in the coming days.
Even though Lemina isn’t a like for like replacement for Gueye, the former Juventus man certainly has similar qualities to the Senegal international.
Lemina is energetic, good on the ball and strong in the tackle and could adapt to a permanent holding midfield role at Goodison Park.
If the Toffees can push through moves for both Tomori and Lemina, as well as bringing in a marquee signing in attack, most Everton fans would more than likely be pleasantly pleased with the club’s business ahead of the new season.
