Everton are interested in signing Stuttgart defender Timo Baumgartl, as per a report from SportBild, as cited by Sport Witness.
The 21-year-old has played a major role for Stuttgart this season as they look to secure promotion back to the Bundesliga.
They go into the final game of the season level on points with Hannover at the top of the Bundesliga 2 table, and need a win in their last game to guarantee a league win. They could mathematically miss out on a second placed finish but it looks like they’ve done enough to secure top-flight football next year.
Baumgartl has played 28 league games this year and it looks like he’s caught the eye of Everton’s scouts, whilst Watford are also interested in signing him too.
The German U21 international centre-back could well be on the move in the summer and it looks like the Blues could be in the market for him.
