Everton keeping themselves in the race for Southampton’s Danny Ings

This summer will no doubt see some interesting activity in the upcoming transfer market.

With attacking options such as Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Everton aren’t short of talent up top.

However, this doesn’t stop the club having interest in other forwards across Europe.

This includes that of the Premier League, with a number of forwards set to leave their clubs this summer.

Southampton are attempting to tie down Englishman Danny Ings to a new contracts ahead of next season.

Despite this, a number of clubs are keeping their eyes on the situation, including Everton.

According to the Sunday Mirror, as cited by Goodison News, Everton are one of a number of clubs interested in the striker.

Fellow Premier League clubs Manchester City, Tottenham, and West Ham are also keeping an eye on the Saints’ talks…

Ings is a fantastic striker and has a great record over the last few seasons in the Premier League.

Last season the 28-year-old managed 22 goals in the league and this season has 12 goals under his belt.

Although the likes of Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin can score goals, having Ings alongside them would be a massive boost.

Everton’s form has been poor at times this season and they have failed to see out games.

With a current market value of just under £20million according to Transfermarkt, Ings would come at a realistic price.

However, only time will tell as to whether Everton can fight off the competition for his signature.
