According to a report from the Mirror this evening, Everton are planning to sack Sam Allardyce at the end of the season and appoint Paulo Fonseca as their new manager.
Speculation has surrounded Allardyce’s future at Goodison Park and it seems Everton’s hierarchy have concluded that he is not the right man to lead the club forward. Sections of the Toffees’ fan-base have grown frustrated with the ex-England boss’ tactics throughout his tenure.
Fonseca is enjoying yet another impressive season at the helm of Shakhtar Donetsk, having overseen a strong performance from his team in the Champions League.

The promising Portuguese boss has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time now and it appears as though he will get his big break with Everton.
Fonseca’s deal at Shakhtar is understood to expire at the end of the season and if the Mirror’s report is to be believed, he will be heading to Merseyside instead of remaining in Ukraine.
