Everton win first game at Goodison since March in fight for European football

Everton have struggled with their home form this season.

The Toffees recorded the third worst record at home, better only than Sheffield United and Fulham.

This season, Everton have lost 9 games at Goodison Park.

However, yesterday saw the Blues manage an important 1-0 win over Wolves at their home ground.

The three points was the clubs first at Goodison since March, and has kept them in the fight for European football…

As cited by 433 above on Twitter, the win has had a massive impact for the last day of the season.

A second half goal from Brazilian forward Richarlison was enough to seal the win for the club.

This was a big response from the players that Carlo Ancelotti will no doubt be delighted with.

The Italian has spoken out recently over his players’ attitudes over the last few weeks.

Despite this, the team played well and responded promptly to secure a big win to take Everton up to 8th place.

Everton are just three points away from a European spot so long as West Ham and Tottenham lose.

However, with the club set to face Manchester City on the last day, it will be a huge test to achieve.
