According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino is keen to join Premier League side, Everton.
The Uruguay international is seemingly closing in on making the move to Merseyside as the Toffees look to strengthen their midfield options.
Premier League rivals Manchester United have also registered interest in signing Vecino but had a loan offer for the midfielder turned down by the Serie A club.
Inter are asking for £20m for Vecino, who has played 14 Serie A games this season, making ten starts.
However, some Everton fans don’t seem to be too excited about his potential arrival.
They took to Twitter to provide their thoughts on the potential signing.
Twitter: @EvertonNewsFeed So much for a big name signing…not!!! (@johnsonk62)
Twitter: @EvertonNewsFeed Tbh. I know we need midfielders but vecino isn’t that good. Id rather spend 20m on a better midfielder (@yourdreams12347)
Twitter: Why do Everton consistently overpay for below average footballers. €20m for Vecino is madness if they do it https://t.co/Ap6VrSxVGL (@LKenz)
Twitter: @TheGwladysSt Very underwhelming (@MckennaDJM)
Twitter: @TheGwladysSt Another older player – big wages – stuck with him until the end of his contract no matter how shite h… https://t.co/pocyj97F3v (@homsey73)
