Everton have made Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard an attacking transfer priority ahead of the summer, according to Express Sport (via EvertonNewsFeed on Twitter), and fans have reacted to the story on social media.
The 22-year old striker has been on red hot form for the Hoops this season, having scored 20 goals in 25 games in the Scottish Premiership.
While we have not been short on goals up front this season, with Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin having scored 10 goals and 12 goals in the Premier League respectively, it looks like we may seek further firepower as we look to qualify for the Europa League.
Moise Kean may well be regarded as a future star, but currently the Italian only has one Premier League goal to his name, and we will need more reliability up front if we are to achieve our aims next season.
Reacting to the news on social media, a number of fans called on us to push ahead and sign the Frenchman, while others weren’t so sure about a prospective deal.

Twitter: @EvertonNewsFeed We don’t need another striker. DCL, Richy & Kean. Need a RW desperately (@GarethJo)
Twitter: @EvertonNewsFeed I don’t really know if it’s right. But it’s a big YES for us. (@EFCFrance)
Twitter: @EvertonNewsFeed I like him, though I’m not sure if it’s worth seeing how he performs in a better league first? Phy… https://t.co/0mIm4SubP7 (@JGifkins)
