Everton may have been hoping for a better result against Crystal Palace over the weekend, but there were certainly some positives to take for Marco Silva’s side.
Yerry Mina was among Everton’s top performers at Selhurst Park and his performance caught the attention of supporters online.
A number of fans on Twitter were quick to hail Mina after his performance, with the Colombian ready to step up after the departure of Kurt Zouma.

Supporters can take a lot of hope from Mina’s performance. He’s never really shown his true qualities at Goodison Park, but it looks like he’s ready to turn a corner.
Winning six duels and making five clearances saw Mina rank among Everton’s best defensive performers on the day.
For so long now, he has looked a shadow of the player that everybody was in awe of at the World Cup. After a full summer of pre-season and some Premier League games under his belt, now should be the time for Mina to step up at Everton.
Missing out on a central defender over the summer was a big talking point among supporters, but if Mina can rise into a leader at the back then Silva should take a lot of hope going forward.
