Several Everton fans are confident that Andre Gomes will slot right in to Carlo Ancelotti’s system once he makes his return to action for the Blues.
The Portugal international could be set to make his comeback for the Toffees this weekend against Arsenal, having been out of action since November after suffering a fractured dislocation to his right ankle against Tottenham in November.
Ancelotti claimed earlier this week that in his opinion, Gomes is “ready to play”, and that he now only needs to have a conversation with the player himself to ascertain whether he can put the 26-year old in against the Gunners.
Ahead of Sunday’s clash at the Emirates, the Liverpool Echo posed a question on Twitter, asking Everton supporters how they think Gomes could fit into Ancelotti’s 4-4-2 system.
In response, a number of Everton fans made clear that Gomes will “easily” slot straight back into the lineup once he is fit and raring to go.
