I think that dropping Sigurdsson for Iwobi to play through the centre would certainly see Everton have much more energy in their forward play. Bernard is too quick, direct and dynamic to leave on the bench, and Gylfi is the most cumbersome of the options to drop.
Alternatively, Gylfi could play in a deeper role in specific game situations, but long term it would make sense to lead with the younger, quicker and more exciting players.
Maybe that could be the route to better helping Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Moise Keane, and maybe it won’t be, but it is worth trying in the Premier League.
